After data center controversy, the Box Elder County Commission will get two new members

The Salt Lake Tribune · Box Elder County, Utah

Following intense community debate over the proposed multibillion-dollar Stratos data center campus, Box Elder County voters finalized a major leadership transition on the County Commission. In the general election for Commission Seat A, Republican Vance Smith defeated unaffiliated challenger Alan Williams with 62.6% of the vote. Seat B was determined after Republican Nathan Tueller defeated incumbent Lee Perry in the primary and ran unopposed in the general election, marking the replacement of both incumbent commissioners who had voted in favor of the data center agreement.
