The Leader (Tremonton) · Garland, Utah
The Bear River High School girls varsity soccer team closed out its 2026 campaign in commanding fashion on Monday, shutting out the visiting Deseret Peak Golden Eagles 4-0 at home in Garland. Head coach Alicia Parker praised the squad’s execution and high-tempo offense, which launched 20 shot attempts throughout the contest to dominate possession and keep the pressure squarely on Deseret Peak’s defensive third.
Senior Emry Crowther paced the Lady Bears' offensive surge with a pair of first-half goals. The opener came with 9:35 remaining before the break when Bailey Roberts drove into the penalty area and slipped a pinpoint pass to an open Crowther directly in front of the net. Just before the halftime whistle, Aleah Grange sprinted down the midfield flank and delivered a deep crossing pass to Crowther, who finished with a clean strike past the outstretched hands of the Deseret Peak goalkeeper to give Bear River a 2-0 advantage heading into the intermission.
At halftime, Bear River honored seniors Emry Crowther, Addie Rich, and Lauren Farnsworth alongside their parents for their contributions to the program. The Lady Bears kept the momentum rolling in the second half, adding a third goal from Farnsworth on a high lob at the 17:44 mark and capping the victory with a fourth goal from Oaklee Bronson off an Izzy Arreguin assist. Goalkeeper Addie Rich and the defensive backline held Deseret Peak to just four touches inside the Bear River half to secure the clean sheet.
