Ogden Man Faces Three First-Degree Felony Drug Charges in Box Elder County
The Leader (Tremonton) · Brigham City, Utah
An Ogden man is facing three first-degree felony drug distribution charges in Box Elder County after an investigation by the Box Elder County Narcotics Strike Force uncovered evidence of illegal narcotics sales.
According to probable cause statements filed in First District Court, investigators executing a search of a mobile phone belonging to 26-year-old Daicen Blair Montandon discovered message conversations negotiating sales of controlled substances. The communications detailed transactions involving 'jale' (slang for cocaine or methamphetamine) and 'blues' (illicit fentanyl pills) distributed within Box Elder County, including confirmed meetings where money and substances were exchanged.
Court records indicate Montandon was on parole and flagged as a habitual offender at the time of the offenses. He was arrested on October 27 and booked into the Box Elder County Jail in Brigham City, where prosecutors requested he be held without bail pending an initial court hearing scheduled for November 9.
