Senior Night ends with a win for Lady Bears volleyball
The Leader (Tremonton) · Garland, Utah
The Bear River High School girls varsity volleyball program celebrated Senior Night in emphatic style on Thursday night in Garland, sweeping the Tooele Buffaloes in three consecutive sets with final scores of 25-9, 25-4, and 25-10. Before the opening serve, the program honored five graduating seniors—Preslee Montgomery, Makell Garn, Ainsley Adams, Caycee Crowther, and Robbi Marble—welcoming them and their parents to center court for personal speeches and commemorative gifts.
Once the emotional ceremonies concluded, head coach Lexi Talatau’s squad took total control of the court. Senior Preslee Montgomery set the tone immediately from the service line in set one, ripping five aces during a 7-0 opening surge. The Lady Bears maintained relentless pressure through dynamic passing from Makell Garn and explosive attacks at the net by Crowther, holding Tooele to single-digit scores in each of the first two sets before putting away the match in front of an energetic home crowd.
With the straight-sets sweep secured, Coach Talatau commended the team's composure and focus during an emotionally charged evening. The victory bolstered Bear River’s standing in Region 11 play as the Lady Bears continue their drive toward postseason competition, continuing a proud tradition of competitive volleyball in the Bear River Valley.
